BHARAT-EU Project kick-off meeting

We are delighted to announce the official launch of the BHARAT-EU project!

BHARAT-EU is a four-year EU–India cooperation research and innovation project developing a sustainable Waste-to-Renewable Hydrogen (W2rH) process that converts agricultural, forestry, industrial, and municipal biogenic waste into renewable bio-hydrogen and valuable carbon-based products.

The project brings together an outstanding interdisciplinary consortium of 21 partners from Europe and India, including leading universities, research organizations, SMEs, and industrial leaders. BHARAT-EU is jointly coordinated by Politecnico di Milano on the EU side, led by prof. Alessio Frassoldati and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras on the Indian side, led by prof. Vinu Ravikrishnan. The project officially launched with a kick-off meeting hosted by Politecnico di Milano on site in Milan, bringing together partners from across Europe and India to mark the beginning of this collaborative journey.

We were honoured to welcome Mr. Lavanya Kumar, Consul General of India in Milan, and Alessandro Biamonti, Delegate of the Rector of Politecnico di Milano for Relations with India, who opened the meeting with their welcome remarks.
